We are an organization of young people that aims at spreading liberal ideas - a task that is arguably never finished. Your participation in our federation may span from the local to the truly global, from canvassing for the liberal party in your own municipality to discussing about how to reform the United Nations with fellow liberals on the other side of the world.
Find here some suggestions on how to become an active part of our liberal family so that together we can make this world a more free and just place.
First of all, subscribe to our newsletter (archive) and become an IFLRY Facebook fan to receive regular updates on what is happening. Also keep an eye on our Liberal News Centre that features news from liberals around the world.
Take a look at our list of member organisations and see whether you are a member of or affiliated to any of our member organizations. These organizations are the building blocks of our federation and IFLRY works with and through their members and representatives. If your organization is not yet a member organization, but you think it should become so, please take a look here.
Keep a close eye on our events calendar, as IFLRY regularly organizes all kinds of events, like seminars and study trips, in various parts of the world. These events are perfect opportunities for exchanging ideas, policies or best-practices with fellow liberals. Our General Assemblies are annual gatherings where we decide over the political and organizational course of our federation.
Write articles for our online magazine The Libel about any topic that you think other young liberals should be aware of. Get in touch with the Editor in Chief to learn more.
Join the Liberal Web Team, a group of young liberals which is at the forefront of spreading the liberal message in cyberspace. It develops online tools, creates campaign sites and supports liberal youth across the world in helping them to set up websites or other digital applications that helps them in their work. Contact them and get started straight away!
Visit other young liberals around the world and learn about their organizations, political situations and culture. Our federation is rich in people and ideas so take your liberal friends along and set up exchanges between you and other members abroad. Explore our network or send us an e-mail with specific partner requests.
Finally, if you think that the liberal youth of the world should focus (more) on a particular topic, organize a specific event somewhere or should set up a campaign with a particular message, let us know.
