Welcome to IFLRY's Tool Kit on human trafficking

Human Trafficking is modern day slavery but is an issue that many countries refuse to acknowledge where as the international young liberals have developed a series of resources focusing on this Human Right violation.

This Tool Kit was developed by a divers group of young leaders at the IFLRY seminar “Human Trafficking – I am not for sale” in Amsterdam in November 2009 co-funded by European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.  The idea behind this Tool Kit is that this collection of ideas would be a resource for our young liberal member organisations in their fight against human trafficking by raising awareness and by putting the issue of human trafficking on the political agenda.

This Tool Kit is divided into three parts:

- Facts is a summary of the core facts regarding human trafficking along with specific country info.

- Actions is a collection of ideas and examples of activities which aim to raise awareness about human trafficking.

- Resources is a list of books, films, contacts and sources of funding related to human trafficking. It also includes a series of visuals that can be used when campaigning for raising awareness of human trafficking.

This kit is not designed to provide a golden solution to the gross violations of human rights of Human Trafficking, but to increase the capacity of civic youth organisations and to empower young people by developing and disseminating awareness resources on Human Trafficking that can be used in their home countries. Our hope is that this tool kit will inspire young liberal leaders to act as multipliers in raising awareness and actions in the fight of Human Trafficking.
