    Financial support for Palestinian government

I'm really curious to hear about how people feel about the restoration of financial ties between the EU/US and the Palestinian government, which after the split between Hamas and Fatah now excludes Hamas representatives. Do you think this is a good move?

Can't it be said that the previous EU/US policy with the boycot of Hamas has simply failed, and that with the current restoration of ties, Fatah will even more be seen as a Western puppet?

Re: Financial support for Palestinian government

??? what are the palestinians going to do with:-

    a. the tax revenues that Israel has been withholding from the PNA? and

    b. the donor and aid funding from the EU/NATO/G8 etc?

Cos they would need about 1 million times what theyre currently getting just to restore the basic dignity of Palestinian People, Muslim, Christian and Jew alike.

    >>> I promise and solemnly swear that no part or portion of any revenue raised from any work i do or property i create will be in any way channeled either directly or indirectly for the purchase of weapons, munitions or instruments and agents potentially endangering the lives of people... can the donors, funders and aid agencies say this about their involvement in Palestine?

Just because Hamas is more extremist than Fatah, does not make Fatah non-violent or without recourse to an armed struggle...

so just cos the aid is "not going to the hamas terrorists" does not mean that the money will not be used to fund terrorism.

and in any event, we all suport a single, secular Israeli and Palestinian State that is founded upon the principle of radical subsidiarity, decentralised localised governent that each have absolute power over public services and taxation revenue collection in that village, town or city... the rise of the city-state is upon us :-)
