A Global Education

    A Global Education

In the UK, primarily England as I know little of the Scottish, Welsh and N. Irish education systems, tough I hear good things, we have a national curriculum. This means that ever child in primary and secondary school or equivialent (infant, junior, high etc) is taught the same thing in order to meet a minimum level in the form of standardised testing. Now while this system has come under criticism of late, I believe it has potential on an internatonal level.

I propose the idea of an International Curriculum, in which every child of school age is giving the same basic education in Maths, 'English'(i.e their native language' and Science. I believe this would help give children all over the world the same rough starting point in life and provide the opportunity for people to move between education systems, mainting the same standard of learning while gaining a new cultural experience.

     Any opinions?

I apologise for it being brief and not that well thought out, but it' my first post

    James
