    US President 2008 - 2012

Because the outcome of the US Presidential Election affects all of us, who is your preferred candidate for the Whitehouse 2008 - 2012?

Unfortunately GW cant run again - although it would be nice to let him clean up his mess himself :-)

I worked for Hillary, so I really think that she is the best choice for President.  But it is absolutely amazing how Obama can mobilize young voters and how he can inspire people to get involved in politics. As long as it is one of them the country will be in much better shape.

McCain is just another Bush clone and we and the world do not need any more of that. He said we could in Iraq for 100 years! That's appaling.

    Re: US President 2008 - 2012

when i asked this question it was an open field... even edwards was still in the running... with the consolidation of the republicans... they sure know about unity in the face of uncertainty... McCain is the last republican standing.... the democrats as usual are spending too much time squabbling instead of elevating themselves above the McCain campaign. I think that unless Clinton and Obama stop attacking each other (ie. fishing in the same pond) then McCain will simply cleanup between now and the DNC and once the Democrat Candidate is announced... the republicans will simply run a gender or race biased presidential campaign for McCain and lo and behold 4 more years of Republican bedlam...

so.... Democrats unite... the opposition is outside not inside... lets see Clinton and Obama behaving as though they are already running mates... and u know... hillary should be banking on the VP ticket - cos a woman pres will get all the glory but get undermined 100% on the real issues... she needs to break the congress/senate and career administration into her presidency slowly... obama is in a better position to effect change re: the war and stuff - let him do it - let hillary do all the social development stuff - and build trust among the core constituents - that will come to see her as the "mother of the nation" - she needs to step out of bills shadow... and she cant do that if she spends all of her energy taking down obama.

Obama also needs to catch a wake up… he’s on the back foot every other day for no reason whatsoever; while everyone’s being uber gentle with the geriatric republican… and what Uncle Sam has spent how many billions chasing the ghost of osama & terrorism and insurgents and fundamentalists and and and and… stop… its enough…

put the democrats in the whouse and put some sanity into US govt… I said it b4 and I will say it again… this democratic administration needs to bring together all of the democrat presidential candidates and get the whole party behind this administration (whether Clinton or Obama) so that the change that we all need is not hampered by factionalism…

and if the democrats let McCain win that’s just peachy… AMANDLA! AWETHU! THE PEOPLE NOT THE CORPORATIONS SHALL GOVERN! AMANDLA AWETHU!
