Young Leaders Summit

Seminar
Taipei, Taiwan
-

Deadline:

The 58th IFLRY General Assembly will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, and alongside it, we will introduce a new format: the Young Leaders Meeting (YLM). This activity is designed to bring together both IFLRY member organisations and emerging liberal leaders from across the region. The aim is to strengthen IFLRY’s global outlook and create a space for deeper engagement, exchange, and solidarity, especially at a time when democracy is under increasing pressure.

The Young Leaders Meeting is a new initiative focused on both capacity-building and strategic networking. It offers executive-level representatives of our member organisations the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and jointly develop strategies for navigating the challenges they face in their respective countries. In doing so, it reinforces political engagement that is globally informed, regionally grounded, and peer-supported.

Importantly, this activity shifts the dynamic of IFLRY’s international events. It moves beyond engaging only the international officers of member organisations and creates a dedicated space for political and organisational leadership.

The YLM will happen from 14-16 June 2026, immediately after the IFLRY General Assembly. The deadline to apply is the 27 th of March (17:00 CET).

For this meeting, IFLRY will cover accommodation and food.

For participants from countries not on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, a participation fee of €50 applies, in line with updated funding arrangements.

For participants from DAC-listed countries, the participation fee does not apply.
