About the Role

IFLRY is seeking young liberals to lead one of its 14 Programmes for the upcoming one-year term. Programmes are how IFLRY turns ideas into action. Some focus on specific regions, including Africa, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Latin America, addressing the political realities particular to those areas. Others are thematic, addressing global challenges such as climate change.

Each Programme is led by a Programme Manager and supported by a team of activists from across the Federation, working under the guidance of the Bureau to deliver on a clear mandate covering events, resolutions, campaigns, trainings and advocacy.

As Programme Manager, you act as the chair of your Programme's working group, coordinating the team's work and representing the Programme within IFLRY. This is a voluntary, unpaid position, undertaken alongside your studies, work or other commitments.

Responsibilities

As a Programme Manager, you will:

  • Chair your Programme's working group, coordinating the activists assigned to it.
  • Organise campaigns related to your Programme's regional or thematic focus.
  • Lead trainings for activists across the Federation.
  • Submit resolutions on behalf of your Programme.
  • Build coalitions with partners and activists.
  • Drive concrete action and impact on the issues your Programme addresses, with the support of the Bureau and your team.

  • Interviews: Thursday, 13 August, to Sunday, 30 August
  • Results announced: September

The Bureau will review all applications, conduct interviews and select the new Programme Managers who will shape IFLRY's work for the year ahead.
